Agrostemma ‘Queen Mix’  picture thanks to https://www.hazzardsgreenhouse.com

Agrostemma  ‘Queen Mix’ produces  dainty flowers  in a mix of white,  pink and lavender.  It is a long flowering tall plant which makes an excellent cut flower,  and lends an airy grace to a mixed border . Landscape gardeners, designing wild meadows  use agrostemma in their wildflower fields, as they grow very well from scattered seed, and are not bothered by many pests.   However they are quite tough plants, for all their delicate seeming flowers and stems .  They also blend well with other wild flowers and look very pretty if planted in a group.  They make a very good cut flower lasting well in the vase.  They are one of the timeless flowers which gardeners over the years have cherished, coming originally from the British cornfields where they grew wild.  Sadly they have all but died out in the wild.
