This mix has bright colours: red, deep rose and picotee-type white with pink. They have particularly large flowers, which have dark stripes and yellow markings. They make an excellent cut flower lasting for about 2 weeks in the vase, and flower for weeks in the garden.
Sowing advice for Alstroemeria
Sow in spring and autumn. Sow into pots with about 3 seeds in each. Cover with moist seed raising mix to about 5mm deep and cover with plastic to conserve moisture. Keep at about 20 deg C for 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks, put into the fridge for 3 weeks. After this bring seeds out of the fridge to 20 ° C . Remove the plastic once the first seeds germinate. They should germinate in about 2 weeks after removal from the fridge. If no germination occurs after about 12 weeks repeat the above procedures.
