This is a uniquely coloured celery being a real lollipop pink, which does not lose its colour when cooked unlike many other vegetables. It has a strong and slightly sweet flavour and is probably best eaten young. Plant it quite close together and make new sowings every now and then. They like full sun and rich moist soil.
Sowing advice
Start the seeds inside in pots or trays about 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Sow on the surface of moist seed raising mix and just press the seeds into the mix as they need light to germinate. Keep them moist and at about 20 deg C. Transplant outdoors when the frost danger has passed.
