This plant has beautiful fine feathery foliage, from which arise pretty white flowers, on red flushed stems. The flowers smother the small bush Aruncus aethusifolius gained the award of Perennial Plant of the Year in Sweden in 2010 and also the RHS ‘Award of Merit’. It makes a good cut flower .
Plant it in full sun down in southern cool summer climates and in the north plant it in semi-shade.
Sowing advice
Take care these seeds are very small
Sow the seed in pots pr trays , on moist seed raising mix, at about 20 deg C. Do not cover the seeds, just press them gently into the mix as they require light to germinate. To keep them moist, cover them with glass or seal in a plastic bag. Remove the bag/glass after the first seed germinates. After germination occurs keep the seedlings in cooler temperatures.
