This plant has handsome spikes of unusual spear shaped , fragrant yellow flowers which rise well above the foliage to create a striking display in the garden. The strap like foliage is a blue green colour, and the flower makes a good cut flower and is attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. It is an evergreen, clumping plant which is tolerant of most soils and can be used in dry places.
