Aster ‘Sea Star’ seeds is a mix of colours. Each flower is a lovely shape and is a very large size. The flowers are bred for the cut flower market so they are excellent for cutting and last well in a vase , but they are also very lovely massed in the garden, where they perform well and fill those awkward spaces where you just want something to bloom freely for the summer months.

Sowing advice for Aster
Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or direct where they are to grow outdoors in late spring and summer. Sow in trays or pots or direct where they are to grow. Barely cover seed with soil as light benefits germination. Keep evenly moist. Germination should take 10-12 days at 20-21 °C. Transplant after 3-4 weeks to larger pots. Grow on at 14-16 °C. Prefers a sunny position. Asters do not grow in temperatures below 8 °C and do not tolerate frost. The lower the temperature, the better the plant habit but onset of flowering will be a little delayed.
