This is a hardy plant which is drought tolerant and easy care. It has bluish green foliage and violet blue to purple flowers with yellow centres which are produced in large arching sprays in autumn. It is very attractive to butterflies and bees. It is well suited to naturalising in wild meadow planting. It makes an excellent container plant.
