Description
This is an annual which has rounded leaves, and bright yellow green bracts which surround very small lime green flowers. It is an excellent cut flower and is used as a filler, to enliven a bouquet as its bright green colour enhances most other flower colours. The plant has a single stem which is branched towards the tip. It bears blue green leaves , similar to that of a eucalypt, and the bright green umbels are borne at the end of the branches . It can be grown easily from seed and makes an excellent cut or dried flower
Sowing advice
Sow in spring and summer. Seed is best sown direct but it can also be sown in trays or pots . Sow on the surface of moist seed raising mix, or soil that has been raked finely. Don’t cover , as light aids germination. Germination normally happens in 7-14 days , but can take up to a month. As soon as the small plants can be handled move them into pots so as to avoid disturbing their roots too much. Plant out as soon as the danger of frost has passed.
