Calamintha ‘Marvellette Blue’ is never without its purple blue flowers . It has won the prestigious Fleuroselect ‘Perennial Plant of the Year’  from the Perennial Plant Association. “Marvellous Blue’  flowers in its first year when grown from seed, and just continues to get better each year. It is a small plant for the front of the border , and can be used medicinally and for herbal tea drinks.

Sowing advice

Sow spring and early summer late summer and autumn, in trays or pots in moist seed raising mix.
Sow the seeds on the surface of seed raising mix and cover very finely with mix. Keep them moist but not saturated, at 20 deg. C. Germination will take about 7 – 21 days. Transfer to 8cm pots when large enough to handle and plant out when danger of frost is over.
