This is a perennial plant from Chile which has broad grey-green leaves which form rosettes about 13 cm across and from these arise  dainty pouch-like flowers which are  purple-pink on the outside with white inner aprons with purple spots over them . It likes rich moist soil in full sun. It grows to about 25 cm wide and 50cm high, and its very charming sprays of airy lavender and white flowers make an extraordinarily different plant. It can be used in containers  where it makes a striking and unusual specimen, or in the garden.
