Centaurea ‘Florence mix’ seeds is a smaller more compact plant than the usual cornflower, and will not take up as much room in your garden. There is a mix of blues pinks rose , red whites and many shades between. The flowers are 5c wide and are fringed. It makes an ideal garden subject and is excellent for growing in pots. They make a very good cut flower

Sowing advice
Sow in autumn and spring .Centaureas do not transplant well. Sow in plugs for easy transplanting, or direct where they are to grow.
Cover seed with 6mm of fine soil and firm lightly. Germinate at 18-21°C. Grow seedlings on at cooler temps to prevent rapid soft growth. Transplant carefully from plugs after all danger of frost has passed.
