Dodecatheon is a small gem of a plant which appeals to all who grow it . This mixture of seeds has plants which produce pretty pink white lilac or red flowers. The flowers look like miniature star showers which are plummeting to earth . The plants grow to about 40cm. They make an unusual and lovely cut flower. The plant will thrive in a partially shaded site in the North and full sun in the South. It likes a moist cool soil.
Sowing advice
Sow the seeds onto moist seed raising mix and press them into the mix., at about 20-22 dec C. Don’t cover them as they need light to germinate. Keep them moist by covering them with a film of plastic. Once the first seed germinates remove the plastic . They should germinate in 7-14 days .
