A coneflower introduced by Jelitto seeds, with attractive lemon-green fringed, carmine-red flowers with black centres. It forms a sturdy plant and flowers in its first year from seed, about 4 months after germination. It is an abundant flowerer. It makes a good cut flower ght, heat and humidity tolerant and will also grow in poor soils. It makes an excellent container plant and cut flower and can also be dried if you dry it upright rather than hanging it downwards
Sowing advice
Sow in spring, summer and early autumn
Sow in trays or pots .
Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising mix. Cover thinly with soil. Ideal temp 20°C. Keep soil moist but not saturated. Germination occurs in 10 -20 days.
