This fritillary has apple green flowers with brown detailing on the tips. It has won the RHS award of garden Merit. It is an easy plant to grow, and is tolerant of light shade. It likes average to well drained soil and forms good sized clumps in the garden.
Sowing advice
Can be sown at any time. Sow in trays or pots . Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising mix. Just cover with mix. Seal in a plastic bag, and put into fridge, propagate at approx. 4°C and keep moist. After 2 months then move out of the fridge to a shady place. Germination can be erratic and over several months. Some seeds may not germinate until the following spring. As each seed germinates move it almost immediately to its own pot.
