Description
This plant won the prestigious ‘All America Selections ‘ award in 2005. It had the characteristics that the judges were looking for: It is a tidy compact plant which is also very hardy, it blooms continuously and profusely smothering itself in red and yellow fringed flowers from early spring to late autumn, it tolerates drought, and it flowers every year with very little care. What more would you want in a plant?
Sowing advice
Can be sown at any time. Sow in seed trays or pots.
Sow onto a moist well-drained seed compost. Cover very thinly as the seeds need light to germinate. Propagate with gentle heat at 18 -23 deg C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. Transplant seedlings once large enough to small pots and grow on . When large enough transplant to the garden after acclimatizing them , at 35-40 cm apart.
