This attractive plant cultivar flowers the first year from seed. It flowers in mid to late summer when there is not much else around, and has large golden and red daisy like flowers on black stems above a large bushy plant with purple leaves. It is cold hardy and is attractive to butterflies and bees. It likes full sun and it flowers in the autumn of the first year from seed.

Sowing advice

Sow the seeds in pots or trays in good seed raising mix. Cover the seeds thinly. Keep the seeds moist and at about 20 deg C. They germinate quite rapidly. Once germinated , keep them in cooler conditions.
