This plant has very large soft pink flowers which have a yellow throat. They appear before the leaves come in summer. It does well in well drained soil and is drought tolerant as well as being able to stand frost to minus 12 degrees. Incarvillea make good container plants but are also excellent in the garden.
Sowing advice
Can be sown at any time. Sow in pots or trays . Sow into moist, well-drained seed raising mix. Just cover very lightly with a sprinkling of soil as light aids germination. Ideal temp 20 deg C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. If the seed does not come up after about 12 weeks enclose the pot in a plastic bag to conserve moisture and place in the fridge for 4 weeks, then take the plastic bag off the seeds and return to 20 deg C
Direct sow into moist well drained soil, keep moist until plants are established
