This is a strong growing plant with very graceful arched white flower stems . It is the recipient of the Award of Garden Merit from the RHS. Florists love its flowers for their pretty shape and lasting ability. It is used to provide a fast spreading cover, and looks spectacular in the wild garden in drifts. and at the edge of streams and in bog gardens It grows well in full sun in moist humus rich soil and can become a weed if not controlled, as it grows quickly by underground stems . To control it grow in dry soil and light shade where it will spread more slowly.
Sowing advice for Lysimachia
Sow as soon as you receive.Sow in trays or pots
Sow onto a good seed raising mix. Cover seeds thinly as light aids germination. Keep the seed moist. Ideal temperature is 20 deg. C. Germination can be erratic. If there is no germination in 3-4 weeks, ensure seed tray is moist, enclose in a plastic bag to conserve moisture and put into fridge for 2-4 weeks . Remove from fridge for germination. Process can be repeated if there is still no germination.
