This is the beautiful pure white strain of the musk mallow. It is a very lovely plant and for its outstanding features it was awarded the RHS ‘Award of Garden merit”. It grows to about 50cm and smothers itself in lovely large white saucer-shaped flowers. It makes an excellent cut flower , and will grow in most soils , even those which are on the dry side .
Sowing advice
Sow in autumn or spring. Sow the seeds on the surface of moist seed raising mix. Cover them very lightly with mix and keep moist at about 20 -22 deg C. Seeds will germinate in 14-28 days. pot them up into individual pots as soon as they are large enough. If you planted them in autumn , keep them somewhere sheltered during the winter and plant them out in spring.
