This nepeta won the fleuroselect prize. It has dense aromatic flower spikes of bright pink. It is drought and heat tolerant, and flowers from mid summer for a long time in the garden. It forms bushy mounds of pink flowers and can be grown in containers too. It flowers in the first year from seed, if sown in early spring under cover.
Sowing advice
Sow in spring, and summer . Sow 5mm deep into moist well-drained seed raising mix. Ideal temp. 15-20°C. Germination takes up to 14 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to other trays with 5cm spacing. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 30cm spacing. ng.
