This poppy is a very beautiful one. The flowers can be in a colour palette of very beautiful pearl grey, slate blue, or misty mauve with the occasional flush of dusky pink. Its flowers are very delicate and its shimmering ruffled petals catch the light like artificial crepe-paper blooms. It is easily grown. Most will flower in the first year from sowing.
Sowing advice
Sow in spring and autumn where they are to grow. prepare the bed carefully and rake soil to a very fine grade. As the seeds are very small mix them with fine sand to achieve an even spread. Cover them very lightly with just a sprinkle of soil.keep moist. Seedlings should appear in 2-3 weeks. Thin them out to 15cm apart when about 5cm high, or can be left in clumps.
