Penstemon whippleanus is a mat forming plant which has wonderful dark purple to dark blue flowers in spring and summer. It makes a good container plant as well as performing well in the garden. These seeds are already cold treated so you don’ t need to stratify them.
Sowing Advice
Sow in spring and autumn. Sow seeds onto the surface of moist seed raising mix in pots or trays. Do not cover with soil as light aids germination, just press seeds into the soil. water from the bottom of the pot. Keep moist but not waterlogged. Ideal temp 20 Deg C. Germination occurs in about 7 – 15 days. Keep in cooler conditions after germination.
