This is a very attractive easy care drought resistant plant which has wonderful deep blue – purple flowers on a compact plant which forms a mound . It flowers non stop over summer until the end of autumn and is well worth while growing.
Seed sown from July to early September will produce good sized plants by December that will bloom in the summer of the first year.
It makes an excellent container plant. It flowers in the first year from seed.

Sowing advice
Sow in spring summer and autumn. Sow in trays or pots
Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed raising mix with only a sprinkling of soil to cover as light is needed for germination. Ideal propagation temp. 20-25°C. Keep moist but not wet. Germination usually occurs in 10-14 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed with 30cm spacing.
