This annual plant has delicate flowers with rose red hearts and lighter pink wings.  It makes a good cut flower which despite its delicate appearance lasts well in water , and the plant is great for the garden as well producing a mass of flowers on the one small bush.  It likes cooler temperatures , so if you live in the north , give the plants some dappled shade particularly in the summer.  If they get too hot they will cease flowering.
