Description
Sidalcea plants picture thanks to Jelitto Seeds https://www.jelitto.com
This lovely plant is like a fairy hollyhock , with its beautiful, delicate flowers on strong stems up to about 1 metre. It forms a bushy basal plant and the flowers are produced on multiple stems . These sidalcea plants come in shades of pinks and lavender and purples , and sometimes a cream and white as well. They make an excellent and long lasting cut flower as well as performing magnificently in the garden , and this plant deserves to be better known. The plant can be grown in the mid border where they will form a substantial clump , producing their airy delicate flowers in profusion. Sidalcea plants are easy to grow and don’t suffer from the rust that their bigger cousins. the hollyhocks often succumb to.
The plants are quite small at the moment. they are in 9cm pots
We also have seeds of this . See https://www.owairakaseeds.co.nz/product-category/s-flower-names-starting-with-s/
