This plant has long handsome spires of white or very rarely pale blue flowers. The flowers are quite like those of a blue veronica in form. The flowers are dramatic when plants are fully in flower in mid summer., and provide an architectural quality to the border. The plant can grow to approximately 175 cm and it likes a moist soil. It is an easy and adaptable plant requiring little care when established.
It will grow in full sun to part shade in most soils. It does not spread very far and stays in a compact mound , and does not require staking
Sowing advice
Seeds are extremely small and fine . Sow on the surface of moist seed raising mix and press the seeds lightly into the mix. Do not cover as light is required for germination. Keep moist , but not waterlogged. Water from the bottom of the tray. Keep at 18-20 deg C. in a light position ( but not direct sun). The seeds germinate quite rapidly 7-14 days.Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
