This wonderful kaleidoscope of brilliantly coloured and diversely formed zinnias come from the well known Oregon State vegetable breeder Jim Baggett, who bred zinnias as a sideline.
These zinnias have huge heads on long stems in amazing extremes of whites, pale and hot pinks, magentas and purples, reds, oranges, and yellows with long petals which are sometimes rolled or quilled . Many of them come in irridescent shades which you wont have seen anywhere else, and all are very beautiful. They are nothing short of spectacular for a person who loves zinnias.
Sowing advice
Best sown when the soil warms up into their final growing position as they dont like to be moved but can also be sown in pots or trays onto the surface of seed raising mix, if care is taken not to disturb them when transplanting them. Sprinkle only a little mix over them, as they need light to germinate. Propagate at approx. 20 degrees C. They will germinate in about 7-14 days .
